It is hard to have an input consisting in something permanent being aware of the bleakness of the reality around us and the conviction that some kind of “avalanche” is inevitable. Everything that destiny has in store for us is the product of our imagination. It is the space between presence and absence, emptiness and excess. “For a moment, I thought my absence would be longer, but I changed my mind”.

Laura Brown, Los Angeles 1951.

The inspiration for the performance came from the work of painter Edward Hopper considered to be one of the iconic 20th century American artists. His seemingly realistic works depicting subdued and nostalgic scenes from American life have a rich magical aura around them.
