Agata Wiedro

Performer, choreographer, dancer and teacher with many years of pedagogical experience. Polish Champion in ballroom dance, certificated sport dance teacher at University of Physical Education and Sport in Gdańsk and jazz dance teacher in Mazovia Dance Academy. She has studied Theatre Studies at The Aleksander Zelwerowicz National Academy of Dramatic Art in Warsaw. She has finished the Experimental Choreography Course organised by the Center in Motion in Warsaw. In 2018, she has won scholarship during Intensive Course in School for New Dance Development (SNDO) in Amsterdam and in 2019 – scholarship of the Alternative Dance Academy in Poznan. She has collborated with such choreographers as Renata Piotrowska-Auffret and Marysia Stokłosa. She is the co-author of workshops „Argue with head. How to sense and understand conflict”. She creates videodances, performs in music videos and various dance productions. Since the last few years she improvises researching possibilities of the body in motion. She draws inspiration from various movement methods, somatic and choreographic practices. She seeks connections between seemingly different styles and techniques. She practices contact improvisation, yoga and meditation. She regularly conducts classes and original workshops suited for different age groups and movement skills.
