ALEKSANDRA DZIUROSZ – professor at UMFC – dancer, choreographer, teacher of modern dance, doctor of arts, Associate Professor of the Fryderyk Chopin University in Warsaw, initiator and director of the Warsaw Dance Theatre, director of the Warsaw Dance Days, International Festival of Contemporary Dance, author and organizer of the Warsaw Dance Centre program, co-author and co-organizer of the Warsaw Dance Platform 2014 to 2016. A graduate of the National Ballet School in Bytom (1999), Education of Ballet (2003) and a graduate of the Postgraduate Dance Theory Studies (2007) at the Academy of Music in Warsaw. In 2009, the discipline of art: rhythm and dance she has received the degree of Doctor of Arts, and in 2013 habilitation. She has performer in many countries in the world including Japan, Spain, Puerto Rico, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Denmark, Lithuania, Hungary, the Czech Republic and Poland.
Choreographer of dance performances and stage movement director in theater and opera performances. Member of the jury of national and international choreographic competitions. Lecturer at Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw. Member of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Choreology in Poznan and the Vice President of the Polish Choreology Forum. The award winner of choreographic award of the Director of the Polish Dance Theatre, triple Ministry of Culture and National Heritage scholar and double Ministry of Science and Higher Education scholar (scholarship for young scientists).
The winner of the main choreographic prize THE BEST OF SOLO PERFORMANCE (10th International Festival of Contemporary Dance Solo/Duo, Budapest). A Swiss Conference of Rectors scholar (program SCIEX – Scientific Exchange Programme NMS.CH 2014-2015) – artistic research and choreographic residence in the Zürcher Hochschule der Künste in Zurich.
